In 1909, Dr. Alfred Sznerr, acting under the mandate of French company L’Air Liquide, founded in Warsaw office with imported gas and apparatus for welding and cutting metals. Demand for equipment and materials for welding processes proved to be so large that it was decided to start gas production on the spot. And so in December 1910 in Warsaw Leszno Street launched the first label on Polish soil oxygen, nitrogen and compressed air. This date is taken as the birth of PERUN.
At the same time on December 17 1910 was founded in Petersburg Company "PERUN", which in 1913 organized it's office on Grochowska Street in Warsaw.
There was production of technical gases and repair operations, organized by Dr. Alfred Sznerra, by combining the office of L'Air Liquide and Company "PERUN.
The building of PKO in Warsaw.Fully welded construction, weighing 700 tons was made by PERUN
At the time of World War I, the factory stopped production to resume it after the war, as the French company "PERUN. The interwar years is the rapid development of "PERUN. New buildings were built and launched its production of welding equipment. Energetic activity result joining in the 20-ties Trzebinia Gas Plant and the plant in Poznaniu, Bydgoszczy, Lwowie, Dąbrówce Małej, Knurowie and Wełnowcu.

In 1930 he opened a factory in Skarzysko Kamienna oxygen and acetylene factory in Bydgoszcz. During this period, "PERUN" had nine factories, with eight sales offices and warehouses fourteen creating their own production and distribution network throughout the country. The factories were created repairshops welding methods and welding workshops, instructional, paying particular attention to the training of welders.
The company's headquarters was at Grochowska Street in Warsaw. The office organized the promotion of a wide range of welding, and worked out the theoretical publications and advice. Except production of the gas reducers and torches for welding and cutting machines manufactured and semi-automatic cutting, acetylene generators fixed and portable compressors and pumps for pumping oxygen, the position of fixed and portable welding, electrodes, powders and welding equipment and even gas for therapeutics. All of these products were characterized by modernity and very good quality.

PERUN workers were teachers, they seemed manuals, Calendars of Welding and posters to promote new technologies.
"PERUN" also introduced the pioneering technology welding. Proof of this done in the years 1929-1930 the first European structure of welded construction with a weight of 700 tonnes - the building of PKO Świętokrzyska Street in Warsaw.
On the initiative of Dr. Sznerra in 1927, was of Polish Industry Association of acetylene and oxygen was transformed into the Association for the Development of welding and cutting metals. This association became part of a permanent International Commission of acetylene and oxygen.
The initiative of PERUN welding was introduced as a subject in vocational schools, and in 1929 the Technical School Wawelberg.
The activity "PERUN" and its development involves the origin and development of welding technology in Poland.
The time of World War II was characterized by a reduction in production and operations. The crew tried to survive the time of occupation, and the greatest attention was focused on preventing the destruction of the plant by the occupier.
With the end of the war there was a time of reorganization.
In 1946 the instytution was given the name "Warsaw Gas Plant and Equipment and Welding Engineering." Re-started production of reducers, torches, acetylene generators, electrodes and powders for welding. Demand for welding equipment grew steadily. Based on the technical idea "PERUN" in 1955 started the production of some units and parts of the burners in Wronki near Poznan. Today it is an independent establishment "Pomet-2, which gives the market a wide range of welding equipment including burners and regulators, equipment for electric welding.
In 1956, "PERUN" finished construction of a new industrial gas plant, as the company transformed itself and was renamed the Warsaw FACTORY welding equipment "PERUN. Since that time, moved into production of the basic welding equipment and valves for technical gases.
In 1957 WFSS "PERUN" adopt a specialized program of development of production taking into account the rapidly growing needs of the basic branches of national economy such as engineering, metallurgy, mining, construction and agriculture. The rapid development of the science of welding current required to make changes to our products or the development of new construction taking into account the latest developments and technology. Therefore, in the years 1964-1970 Factory established programmatic collaboration with the Welding Institute in Gliwice. The resulting development of automated cutters. In this period the production of acetylene generators shall be transferred to "CESPY" in Cieszyn.
The years 1970-1980 thats further develop their own design and technological developments. Reducers and burners undergo a complete renovation. Further extension of the Design Office with: Mechanical and Electronic and Prototype allowed to develop their own small-scale structure of automatic cutters. In cooperation with the Institute of Welding-size cut-off resulting from the numerical control CNC machines. Last year the privatization process, which will be completed in May 2003. Perun is a Polish manufacturer of welding equipment. In 2005 obtained ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate.
The year 2010 was an exceptional year for our plant on Dec. 17 passed 100 years of the Company PERUN. PERUN is one of the few establishments where for such a long time maintained a production profile was the primary objective of welding gas and constant technological progress which has always characterized the factory.
